How regional MPA networks contribute to implementing the CBD Aïchi targets? Sharing Mediterranean experience with other regional seas initiatives
Mediterranean special event organised by MedPAN, in presence of the Convention on Biological Diversity Secretariat and the partners of the network: RAC/SPA, IUCN Med, Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature, Adriapan, WWF, Conservatoire du Littoral, Agence de Protection et d'Aménagement du Littoral in Tunisia, French Marine Protected Areas Agency, ACCOBAMS, as well as the Center for Mediterranean Integration and the Plan Bleu.
Following a warm welcome and the presentation of the photographic book ''Méditerranées'' of Renaud Dupuy de la Grandrive and Mathieu Foulquié, a panel discussion will take place to present past achievements on Marine Protected Areas in the Mediterranean and other Seas and to highlight future challenges to reach the Aichi targets.
Cocktail and music will follow.
